A Doll's House
This project was developed as part of a university assignment where we were asked to create the art direction for Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll’s House. For me, it was the first time leading a creative project from concept to execution, and it became a turning point in my growth as a designer.

Creative Process
Ideation & Symbolism: Developing visual metaphors such as strings, cages, and fragmented figures to represent control, confinement, and transformation.
Art Direction: Planning the photoshoot, including casting, costumes, lighting, and overall composition.
Design Execution: Using photography and digital manipulation to create posters that are both symbolic and visually striking.
The Posters
Each poster represents a different perspective of Nora’s struggle and liberation.
Entrapment: A looming male figure with a reflection of Nora inside his eye, symbolising patriarchal control.
Transformation: A fragmented female figure peeling away in layers, representing self-discovery.
Strings of Control: Hands manipulating strings like a puppet, highlighting Nora’s lack of autonomy.
Outcome & Reflection
This project allowed me to push my creative boundaries and explore how design, photography, and symbolism can merge into a cohesive storytelling experience. Beyond being a university project, A Doll’s House became an opportunity to reflect on how visual design can amplify important social themes and bring timeless stories into a contemporary context.
